It is US
US is the absolute master of the World of the whole of the internal and external activities of all the independent nations of the World. The organization of justice, the army, the industrial and commercial regimes are established democratically by US. US would say and with greater accuracy than any despots: “If you are not with US, you are against US. The World is US”. Let us repeat after so many has become a platitude, the success of our World work is the work of our directing will, without being hampered by the hesitations of democracy and delusions of human rights carried out under our sole responsibility, — intelligent, thoughtful, conscious of the perils and advantages of terror and fear, discounting with a terrible prescience the great opportunities of a possible fair future to the benefits of the few of US.
A Soliloquy for the few of US
In Defense of US
<Closes down the TV which he had been watching. Excitedly combs his slightly gray hair but mostly black hair with his fingers; pounds the table with his fists; lets off brisk volleys of unsanctified language which was still politically correct and which could be refuted if taped, repentantly drooping his head, between volleys, and kissing US through the Flag hanging above him, accompanying the kisses with mumbled apologies; presently rises, flushed and perspiring and walks the floor gesticulating>
_________!!______________!! If I had them by the throat. <Hastily kissed the Flag again, and mumbles:> In these presidential years, I have spent billions on NSA to spy and control everyone but most of all the people and our friends; to keep the world safe and still these leaks keep on occurring. First Manning and then Snowden. I have spent billions more on war and weapons to bring democracy to the World and what do I get for it? Nothing! Not a government friendly to US. These generosities are studiedly ignored by popular votes. From these popular votes, I get nothing but dreams of freedoms –and freedoms again – and still freedoms, and freedoms on top of freedoms. We need more authority and less democracy in the World. Grant them freedom, what of it! Such freedom implies there is a choice to choose differently than US and therefore against US.
Patriots – they are telling everything! Oh, everything: how I went campaigning amongst the people in smiles and handshakes, with my mouth full of yes we can and my pelt oozing hope; herald of changes at every pore and implored them to place their votes and dreams in trust in my hands as their president so that I might root out those who would tear the World down and stop the Wall Street raids upon the people of Main Street, and in the remaking of this nation, the only way it’s been done in America for 221 years — block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand, the light to bless US, our light that streams onto this World, our light that makes glorious any civilization -lift them up from poverty and dry their despair, and fill their bruised hearts with ideals of liberty and self-determination, equality and the rule of law – lift them up and make them comprehend that they are the heirs of our fortitude and foresight of our generations past; a legacy for which the few of US are rightfully proud; how the citizens of the World wept in sympathy with me, and were persuaded to give US honor ; how their representatives met me in convention in Norway and made US the peace champion of the World, and with peace must come just wars, carefully guarding our persons and our liberties and properties against hurt and harm; underwriting global security and gun traffic; providing standards that govern the use of force and torture; making commerce free and fetter-less to the Corporations and welcoming them in establishing dominions over all aspects of life for all creeds and denominations. They have told how I planned and prepared my presidency and selected my horde of officials; pals and pimps of mine, “unscrupulous lobbyists”, every one – and revealed my true agenda by “bowing” to the 43rd and got him to be the first to recognize US and to give his blessing. Oh well, let them blackguard me if they like; it is a deep satisfaction to me to know that US was a shade too smart for the World that thinks itself so smart. Yes, I certainly did bunco the World as those people phrase it. Imperialist Flag? Let them call it so – perhaps it is. All the same they all saluted it.
These meddlesome 99%! This Occupy movement! This blabbing WikiLeaks traitor organization – tiresome parrot always talking, always telling. They have told how for so many years, US have ruled the World not as a trustee of the Powers, an agent, a subordinate, but as a sovereign – sovereign over a fruitful domain encompassing the whole World – sovereign absolute, irresponsible, above all laws; trampling Human Rights under foot; barring all other foreign nations from sovereignty but US; restricting commerce to US through corporations who are our creatures and confederates; seizing and holding the nations as US property, the whole of their vast revenues for US “swag” US, solely US, claiming and holding billions of people as US property, US serfs, US slaves, their labor for US with or without wage; the food they raise not their property but for US; their oil, their coffee and all of the other riches of the World for US – US solely – and gathered for US by the men, the women and the little children under the compulsion of bullets and bombs from our drones.
These pests! These bug splats! – It is as I have said, they have kept nothing! They have revealed these and yet other details which shame should have kept them silent about, since they were exposures of US, a sacred nation immune from reproach by right of its selection and appointment above all other nations by God himself; a nation whose acts cannot be criticized without blasphemy, since God has observed from the beginning and manifested no dissatisfaction with US, nor shown disapproval of US, nor hampered nor interrupted US in any way. By this sign God has given his approval of what US has done; his cordial and glad approval; US is pure as I may say. Bless, crowned, beatified with this great reward, this golden reward, this unspeakable precious reward, why should US care for men’s cursing and reviling of US? <With a sudden outburst of feeling> May they roast aeons in <Catches his breath and effusively kiss a dollar; sorrowfully murmurs, “I shall get myself dammed yet, with these indiscretions of speech.”>
Yes, they go on telling everything, these chatterers! They have shown our War Logs and the savage nature of the soldiers of US who attacked and killed people with aerial guns killing innocents while laughing and screaming on the microphone: “”dead b—–d -light ‘em up! keep shooting, keep shooting”. Yes, keep shooting I may say. These are my orders. They reported on the true nature of our administration showing how we kept detainees away from the International Committee of Red Cross using torture and brutality to gain good behavior and cooperation. They revealed how the diplomats of US were ordered by me to gather personal information about foreign officials including information such as gaining credit cards numbers, frequent flyer numbers and even biometric information ridiculing US for doing such a heinous act by blurring the line between diplomats and spies.
It all comes out that when nations fall short of their obligations to US through hunger, sickness, despair and ceaseless and exhausting labor without rest and forsake the duty their nation has towards US, we will rely on the natural schisms existing within their nation fostering unrest to block hope, unity and the emergence of any authority that could threaten US interests. We will arm the unfriendly tribes of every nation and directed by our advisors and our dollar, we will hunt down any opposition butchering them and bombing their communities and villages. We will use our resources to transform a legitimate war on terrorism to a wasted war on any sovereign country that would oppose US and our insatiable need for free resources making all wars, made by US, legal by our doctrine and godly right of pre-emptive strike. In the name of freedom and peace, we have caused the death of the innocent; of the hundreds of thousands in Iraq essentially turning this country to its enemies ensuring a civil and genocidal war between Shiites and Sunni. We have pacified this nation through ethnic cleansing and through chaos, death and despair living US to inherit their land and their oil. In Lybia we have fomented the revolt and the violent downfall and murder of Qadaffy by leading our puppets from behind in the name of preventing a massacre by bombing those who we were supposed to protect while giving this region to murderous tribal warlords whose predilections for killing people are spilling over into other nations; all of this for their resources; for their oil; always for more of their oil. A nation that can’t control its energy sources can’t control its future and with their oil, their resources, US shall have the greatest future.
What our hand takes away the other hand will give away. When it suits US and our purpose we will plan for the downfall of any foreign governments qualifying them as despots; and instead we will install despots friendly to US in Egypt and other countries promoting authoritarian government by overthrowing and imprisoning the leaders of the duly elected democratic government. In the Ukraine, I have colluded with a western-leaning coalition made of neo-fascist elements to again overthrow a duly elected government forcing the good Russians and the World towards war by jeopardizing neutrality among the eastern European countries; neutrality that existed to create a balance of power between Russia and US. With our help the nations friendly to US have acquired more effective tools of repression and we are secured in the knowledge they can defeat any legitimate aspirations of their people.
But they never say, although they know it that US has labored in the cause of freedom at the same time and all the time, and have sent our dollars, our weapons and our soldiers there under star spangled banner and stripes as we phrase it to teach them the rights ways of freedom and bring them under the dominion of the 1% who are all mercy and love and who are the sleepless guardian and friend of all who suffer. They tell only what is against US and they will not tell what is in our favor.
They tell how England required of US to let the truth out through the Chilcot inquiry into the war in Iraq and how we quieted the meddling democratic elements and conscience of this country with its disagreeable liberal elements and the media, the House of Commons and the other dudes found in the committee of Privy Counselor more interested in our business than in their own – with their business being our own. In this war,Tony Blair was our appointee! Did it stop their efforts? No, they merely pointed out it is necessary to provide crucial evidence on the covert way in which Blair at the demand of my predecessor committed British troops to this invasion led by US. They would examine how the Blair government took decisions and what lessons could be learnt to help ensure that England made the right decision if faced by similar situations in the future. As if England had any other choices but to do our bidding. We are not a plebeian or a peasant nation. US are the greatest nation in the world and it is only right that British servicemen die in the service of our friendship. But instead the media would like to portray US as a White House that has been both a chapel and a brothel with both industries working full time; that while US sent our young men to die in foreign countries to oust evil monsters out of power in nations such as Syria, Libya and Ukraine we had our very own monster ball at the White House entertaining and dining the most evil dictators and homophobes of the world. They would describe to you how US rolled out the red carpet for Equatorial Guinea’s Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who shot or jailed virtually all his political opponents, Gambia’s Yahya Jammeh, who threatened to ‘cut off the head’ of any homosexuals in the country and for Cameroon’s Paul Biya, who has the dubious honor of ranking 19th on a list of the world’s 20 worst living dictators. And US stood there smiling and shaking hands while being photographed; then I made a speech stating to the monsters that our faith and traditions remind US of the inherent dignity of every human being and that our work as nations must be rooted in empathy and compassion for each other, as brothers and as sisters. The monsters smiled back because they understood that it is as I have said. There is nothing wrong with monsters for the moment that they are our monsters working for the cause of freedom; our freedom; US freedom. I have spent more money on monsters than any other president of my time and Wall Street knows it. To undermine me, my opponents prefer to show up what they call “ghastly statistics” into offensive kindergarten object lessons, whose purpose is to make sentimental people shudder, and prejudice them against US. They remark if the innocent blood shed in the World by US were put in buckets and the buckets placed side by side, it would cover the whole World; if the skeletons of the billions of starved and butchered dead could rise up and march in single file, it would take them years to pass a given point; if compacted together into a body, they would occupy the whole of our nation; if they should all clap their bony hands at once, the grisly noise would be heard at a distance of —? Damnation it makes me tired! And they do similar comparisons with our mighty Dollar we have imposed on the World through blood and speculation which allowed US to put it all back in the pocket of the few of US. And the tears US has caused, the hearts and dreams US has broken —-oh nothing can persuade them to leave them alone.
<Meditative pause> Well …..No matter, I did beat the ONU, anyway! There’s comfort in that! <Reads with mocking smile Resolution 678 of United Nations Security Council of November 29 1990>
“ Authorizes Member States cooperating with the government of Kuwait , unless Iraq on or before 15 January 1991 fully implements, as set forth in paragraph 1 above, the above-mentioned resolutions, to use all necessary means to uphold and implement resolution 660…”
Possibly a number of the Members of the ONU would like to take that back, now, but they will find that the Member Nations obedient and slaved to US are not present at the ONU for nothing. Have we not ensured that Jeffrey Feltman; more a politician than a man; more of a liar than the worst comic; having less substance than a caricature; be named as UN under secretary-general for political affairs becoming the real Secretary of the United Nations and who is already doing US bidding so well by exciting the dog of wars. Indeed there is no danger; neither nations nor governments can afford to confess their blunder by admitting how masterly they were manipulated by US. <With another angry smile, he started to read a report defining US as a rogue state by Noam Chomsky>
“Contempt for the rule of law is deeply rooted in U.S. practice and intellectual culture. Recall, for example, the reaction to the judgment of the World Court in 1986 condemning the U.S. for “unlawful use of force” against Nicaragua, demanding that it desist and pay extensive reparations, and declaring all U.S. aid to the contras, whatever its character, to be “military aid,” not “humanitarian aid.” The Court was denounced on all sides for having discredited itself. The terms of the judgment were not considered fit to print, and were ignored. The Democrat-controlled Congress immediately authorized new funds to step up the unlawful use of force. Washington vetoed a Security Council resolution calling on all states to respect international law—not mentioning anyone, though the intent was clear. When the General Assembly passed a similar resolution, the U.S. voted against it, effectively vetoing it, joined only by Israel and El Salvador; the following year, only the automatic Israeli vote could be garnered. Little of this received mention in the media or journals of opinion, let alone what it signifies.”
<With evil joy> Yes, US were certainly a shade too clever for the Members of the ONU and the World. It hurts; it gravels them. They can’t get over it! Puts a shame upon them in another way, too, and a graver way; for they never can rid their records that their vain ONU, appointed as the Champion of Peace and Promoter of the Liberties of the World, is the only organization in history to have lent US its power and influence to the establishing of our control and authority over other nations through war and chaos.
<Contemplating with an unfriendly eye another pile of papers> Blister these meddlesome missionaries such as Chomsky. They write tons of things. They seem to always be around, always spying, always eye-witnessing what is happening; and everything they see or hear they commit to paper; always using our word against US. Missionaries always prowling around to document our war crimes. Victims of US who survived US go to them with their sorrows; they show them their scars and their wounds inflicted by our soldiers and our drones; they hold up the pictures of their dead because they don’t know where they are until they are found buried in shallow graves a few meters away from US bases. How US murdered 16 Afghan men, women, and nine children aged two to twelve; how still a few journalists such as Matthieu Aikins can’t keep silent about the activities of our special A team in Wardak where our most professional soldiers with impunity abducted Afghan men and boys using interrogations involving torture with a final outcome; their murder! They travel and they travel, they spy and they spy! And nothing is too trivial for them to print! <Takes up a magazine Rolling Stone and read out loud>
“Last winter, tensions peaked and President Karzai ordered an investigation into the allegations. Then on February 16th, a student named Nasratullah was found under a bridge with his throat slit, two days, his family claimed, after he had been picked up by the Green Berets. Mass demonstrations erupted in Wardak, and Karzai demanded that the American Special Forces team leave, and by April, it did. That’s when the locals started finding bodies buried outside the American base in Nerkh, bodies they said belonged to the 10 missing men. In July, the Afghan government announced that it had arrested Zikria Kandahari, a translator who had been working for the American team, in connection with the murders, and that in turn Kandahari had fingered members of the Special Forces for the crimes.” <Taking another magazine, an older one this time, he continued reading out lout>
“In one of the most horrific incidents of violence against civilians during the Vietnam War, a company of American soldiers brutally killed the majority of the population of the South Vietnamese hamlet of My Lai in March 1968. Though exact numbers remain unconfirmed, it is believed that as many as 500 people including women, children and the elderly were killed in the My Lai Massacre.. Higher-ranking U.S. Army officers managed to cover up the events of that day for a year before revelations by a soldier who had heard of the massacre sparked a wave of international outrage and led to a special investigation into the matter.”
And more and so much more…
“The investigation focused on what happened in the town of Haditha on Nov 19, last year. An insurgent stronghold in Anbar province in western Iraq, it has been the centre of almost continuous violence for three years. The US military originally said that 15 civilians had died in the blast from a roadside bomb. But in January Time magazine published the results of its investigation of the incident which concluded that the marines had instead gone on a rampage in the town after a lance corporal was killed by the bomb. It quoted a nine-year-old child who described how the servicemen had burst into their home. “I couldn’t see their faces very well – only their guns sticking in to the doorway. I watched them shoot my grandfather, first in the chest and then in the head. Then they killed my granny,” she said.”
That is their way; they spy and spy, and run into print every foolish trifle. And that WikiLeak traitor Assange is the worst of all. He gets hold of our Afghan War Diary and although it is a diary made of US secret cables and intended for no eye but our US military, Assange is so lacking in refinement and delicacy as to print it all. <Reads a passage of the diary having appeared in the newspaper the Guardian>
“On 4 March 2007, in the Shinwar shooting, U.S. Marines opened fire on civilians after witnessing a suicide bombing and supposedly coming under small arms fire. The marines made a frenzied escape [from the scene of the bombing], opening fire with automatic weapons as they tore down a six-mile stretch of highway, hitting almost anyone in their way – teenage girls in the fields, motorists in their cars, old men as they walked along the road. Nineteen unarmed civilians were killed and 50 wounded.” The military report of the incident (written by the same soldiers involved in it) later failed to make any reference to the deaths and injuries and none of the soldiers involved were charged or disciplined…In 2007, documents detail how US special forces dropped six 2,000 lb bombs on a compound where they believed a “high-value individual” was hiding, after “ensuring there were no innocent Afghans in the surrounding area”. A senior U.S. commander reported that 150 Taliban had been killed. Locals, however, reported that up to 300 civilians had died. On 16 August 2007, Polish troops mortared the village of Nangar Khel, killing five people – including a woman and her baby…
When Wiki Leaks thinks silence will be more effective then it employs it. It does not say how US were very clear and candid with the American people about the challenges that US face in Afghanistan and Pakistan. It does not say how the war in Afghanistan was under-resourced for many years and that On Dec. 1, 2009, I announced a new strategy and new resources for Afghanistan and Pakistan precisely because of the grave situation there. It did not say how US did not ask for this fight. On September 11, 2001, nineteen men hijacked four airplanes and used them to murder nearly 3,000 our ordinary US people. They struck at US; our military and economic nerve centers. As we know, these men belonged to al Qaeda – a group of extremists who have distorted and defiled Islam. . . . It did not say how after the Taliban refused to turn over Osama bin Laden – we sent our troops into Afghanistan. This was not a war of choice. This was a war of necessity
When I came into office, US were still bogged down in Iraq, and Afghanistan had been drifting for a decade. I ended the war in Iraq, refocused our attention on Afghanistan. And US are now in a position where we have met many of the objectives that got US there in the first place. Part of what had happened is US had forgotten why US has gone to war. We went because there were people who were responsible for the death of 3,000 of US. And so we decimated al-Qaida’s core leadership in the border regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan. We then started to build up Afghan forces. And we’re now in a position where we can transition out, because there’s no reason why Americans should die when Afghans are perfectly capable of dying for their own country and US way of life.
These extremists only want to destroy while US only wants to build, and that is something essential about US. They’re got no respect for human life. US see dignity in every human being. They want to drive races and regions and religions apart. US wants to bring people together and see the world move forward together under our careful supervision. They offer fear. US offers hope.
Now as to the US drones and the death of innocent. As was true in previous armed conflicts, this new technology raises profound questions — about who is targeted, and why; about civilian casualties, and the risk of creating new enemies; about the legality of such strikes made by US and international law; about accountability and morality. But US is willing to sacrifice everything including the lives of innocent in the name of efficiency and our actions are effective. Don’t take my word for it. Simply put, these strikes have saved lives.
But US can’t head off our critics and make them stay headed off-off; they dodge and straightaway come back with examples of how US murdered Abdulmutallab — a 16-year-old —and how US murdered a Pakistani grandmother killed alongside 18 civilian laborers in a 2012 strike. They urge the end of drone warfare showing numbers that US have killed between 2,528 and 3,648 individuals in Pakistan since 2004 and that between 416 and 948 of those killed in drone strikes were civilians.
They are full of slippery arts. When the innocent deaths began to stir the world, US hit upon the idea of excusing them with a retort which we judged would knock them dizzy on that subject for good and all, and leave them nothing more to say; to wit we boldly laid our rights and that US actions are legal. US was attacked on 9/11. US are authorized the use of force by US congress and therefore under domestic law, and international law, US is at war with al Qaeda, the Taliban, and their associated forces. US are at war with an organization that right now would kill as many of US as they could if US did not stop them first. So this is a just war — a war waged proportionally, in last resort, and in self-defense. That is what US is — determined, and not to be messed with. And now US needs a strategy and politics that reflects this resilient spirit; this quiet determination; that strength of character and bond of fellowship; that refutation of fear — that is both US sword and US shield. And long after the current messengers of hate have faded from the world’s memory, alongside the brutal despots, and deranged madmen, and ruthless demagogues who litter history — the flag of US will still wave from small-town cemeteries to national monuments, to distant outposts abroad above all nations. And that flag will still stand for US freedom. And for those who do not believe in US then don’t get any ideas because US have two words for you: predator drones. You will never see it coming!
Did it knock them dizzy? Did it shut their mouths? Not for an hour! They dodges, and came right back at US stating that US has a long history of violating international law when US believes foreign policy objectives justify doing so and that the belief in the right of US to overthrow democratically elected governments such as Guatemala, Iran, Congo; to train and arm insurgencies in Nicaragua, and to launch aggressive wars in Iraq free of the inconvenience of the law which grows out from the belief in our greatness. They condemned US for maintaining a Kill List and for holding weekly meetings during which, as judge, jury and executioner, US determines who lives and who dies. They revealed that US counts all military-age males killed in drone strikes as militants. They believe our brazen counting and book cooking of innocent killings would make the sneakiest Wall Street accountants blush. They oppose our strategy of “double tap” Intentionally targeting rescuers and the wounded which are clear violations of international humanitarian law and US rules of warfare. What is the death of a few fire and medical personnel if it can save the possible lives of a few of US? Still they try to weaken US alleging that a program of targeted killing far from any battlefield, without charge or trial, violates the constitutional guarantee of due process; also violating international law, under which lethal force may be used outside armed conflict zones only as a last resort to prevent imminent threats, when non-lethal means are not available. Even the Church is against US; against our Godly right to kill from afar without real cause. How dare they? This World Council of Churches–the largest coalition of Christian churches–coming out in opposition of US and our use of armed drones saying that the use of armed drones poses a serious threat to humanity. They would bring US, the Freedom and Peace Champion of the World to their level; US the greatest nation on Earth and God chosen nation. Damn also these bleeding hearts European with their overwhelming vote of 534-49, passing a resolution calling on EU Member States to oppose and ban the practice of extrajudicial targeted killings and demanding that EU member states do not perpetrate unlawful targeted killings or facilitate such killings by US.
Very well then if they want to oppose US! There will always be some Nurse Nayirah available willing to cry before our Congress and the World and to describe the murder of babies and in such fashion to sell our need for a just war. Gullible, they are. So easy to deceive. You would think the world would learn after the deception of Colin Powell but our speeches, the words of US are like siren’ songs to their ears. Masterful it was and I can remember every word of it <Start to recite Colin Powell’ speech>
“Mr President, Mr Secretary General, distinguished colleagues, I would like to begin by expressing my thanks for the special effort that each of you made to be here today. This is important day for us all as we review the situation with respect to Iraq and its disarmament obligations under UN security council resolution 1441. Last November 8, this council passed resolution 1441 by a unanimous vote. The purpose of that resolution was to disarm Iraq of its weapons of mass destruction. Iraq had already been found guilty of material breach of its obligations, stretching back over 16 previous resolutions and 12 years….My second purpose today is to provide you with additional information, to share with you what the United States knows about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction as well as Iraq’s involvement in terrorism, which is also the subject of resolution 1441 and other earlier resolutions.
I might add at this point that we are providing all relevant information we can to the inspection teams for them to do their work. The material I will present to you comes from a variety of sources. Some are U.S. sources. And some are those of other countries. Some of the sources are technical, such as intercepted telephone conversations and photos taken by satellites. Other sources are people who have risked their lives to let the world know what Saddam Hussein is really up to.I cannot tell you everything that we know. But what I can share with you, when combined with what all of us have learned over the years, is deeply troubling. What you will see is an accumulation of facts and disturbing patterns of behavior. The facts on Iraqis’ behavior – Iraq’s behavior demonstrate that Saddam Hussein and his regime have made no effort – no effort – to disarm as required by the international community. Indeed, the facts and Iraq’s behavior show that Saddam Hussein and his regime are concealing their efforts to produce more weapons of mass destruction… My colleagues, every statement I make today is backed up by sources, solid sources. These are not assertions. What we’re giving you are facts and conclusions based on solid intelligence. I will cite some examples, and these are from human sources. While we were here in this council chamber debating Resolution 1441 last fall, we know, we know from sources that a missile brigade outside Baghdad was disbursing rocket launchers and warheads containing biological warfare agents to various locations, distributing them to various locations in western Iraq. Most of the launchers and warheads have been hidden in large groves of palm trees and were to be moved every one to four weeks to escape detection. We also have satellite photos that indicate that banned materials have recently been moved from a number of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction facilities… At this ballistic missile site, on November 10, we saw a cargo truck preparing to move ballistic missile components. At this biological weapons related facility, on November 25, just two days before inspections resumed, this truck caravan appeared, something we almost never see at this facility, and we monitor it carefully and regularly. Iraq has now placed itself in danger of the serious consequences called for in U.N. Resolution 1441. And this body places itself in danger of irrelevance if it allows Iraq to continue to defy its will without responding effectively and immediately.”
Of course our critics had to divulge that US was lying. They have no self-respect. Now they all reproach US although they quite well know US did not take pleasure in destroying Iraq in that particular way, but only did it as a warning to other nations. Ordinary pressure and threats are no good with some nations. It makes not impression. <Reads out loud the result of the war in Iraq>.
“Iraq body count: 500,000, 4% of the population dead”
They conceal that Iraq was a slam dunk case. We’re leaving behind a sovereign, stable and self-reliant Iraq with a representative government that was elected by its people. We’re building a new partnership between our nations and we are ending a war not with a final battle but with a final march toward home. This is an extraordinary achievement. Changes will not come if we wait for other nations or the World, or if we wait for some other time. US are the solution. We are the change that is sought. However you can put lipstick on a pig. It’s still a pig. War will always be war and no matter how it is conducted and no matter the care taken in avoiding innocent casualties, war will still be war.
One of my sorrowing critics and enemy observed: “The situation in Syria cannot be considered in the Council separately from the Libyan experience. The international community is alarmed by statements that compliance with the Security Council resolution on Libya in the NATO interpretation is a model for the future action of NATO in implementing the responsibility to protect….The demand for a quick cease-fire turned into a full-fledged civil war, the humanitarian, social, economic and military consequences of which transcend Libyan borders. The situation in connection with the no-fly zone has morphed into the bombing of oil refineries, television stations and other civilian sites. The arms embargo has morphed into a naval blockade in Western Libya; including a blockade of humanitarian goods….With respect to Syria …the continuation of this tragedy cannot be blamed only on the harsh actions of the authorities. Recent events convincingly show that the radical opposition no longer hides its extremist bent and is relying on terrorist tactics, hoping for foreign sponsors and acting outside of the law. Armed groups supported by smuggling and other illegal activities are providing supplies, taking over land, and killing and perpetrating atrocities against people who comply with the law-enforcement authorities.”
Indeed US has required many nations to kiss our sacred emblem; and if they obeyed us, the few of US had without doubt the humble means to save their government. None of my detractors have had the fairness to mention this; but let it pass; Europe has not overlooked it, and this is my solace, which is my consolation. They understand that a change is brought because US do extraordinary things. Nothing can stand in the way of US when calling for a change. Our actions remind US that truth isn’t about who yells the loudest, but who has the most money and influence. Because even as we’re the most religious of people; the kindest of people; the greatest of people, US innovative genius has always been preserved because we have a deep faith in money and power. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict against US, or blame their society’s ills on US – know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist. However you may have good reasons to be wary of our other hand.
<Harassed and muttering, walks the floor for a while, then takes the draft of the resolution 612> Now they oppose US openly refusing to pass this resolution. This will not be the end of the story. US will force the Security Council to support US agenda to subjugate and impose a regime change in Syria. Hang these monotonous grumblers; what would they have us do? Let a nation be because it is a nation? Always the same tales to defeat US purpose, again more stories about US; using our actions in Lybia:
“…an on-the-ground examination by The New York Times of airstrike sites across Libya – including interviews with survivors, doctors and witnesses, and the collection of munitions remnants, medical reports, death certificates and photographs – found credible accounts of dozens of civilians killed by NATO in many distinct attacks. The victims, including at least 29 women or children often had been asleep in homes when the ordnance hit….By NATO’s telling during the war, and in statements since sorties ended on October 31, the alliance-led operation was nearly flawless – a model air war that used high technology, meticulous planning and restraint to protect civilians from Colonel Qaddafi’s troops, which was the alliance’s mandate. ‘We have carried out this operation very carefully, without confirmed civilian casualties, the Secretary-General of NATO, Anders Fogh Rasmussen said in November.’ The Security Council President stated that the United Nations should help in investigating civilian casualties if NATO cannot do this on its own.”
“On August 8th, four days after destroying the Morabit home, NATO hit buildings occupied by civilians again, this time in Majer, according to survivors, doctors and independent investigators. The strikes were NATO’s bloodiest known accidents in the war. The attack began with a series of 500-pound laser-guided bombs, called GBU-12s, ordnance remnants suggest. The first house, owned by Ali Hamid Gafez, 61 was crowded with Mr. Gafez’s relatives, who had been dislocated by the war, he and his neighbors said. The bomb destroyed the second floor and much of the first. Five women and seven children were killed; several more people were wounded, including Mr. Gafez’s wife whose lower left leg had to be amputated, the doctor who performed the procedure said. Several minutes after the first strikes, as neighbors rushed to dig for victims, another bomb struck. The blast killed 18 civilians, both families said…The initial findings on the Majer strikes, part of the United Nations investigation into actions by all sides in Libya that harmed civilians, have raised questions about the legality of the attack under international humanitarian law, according to an official familiar with the investigation.”
How stupid, how tactless! The World goose flesh is rising in horror at these stories. It is a profanation of our sacred emblem and the World will shout against US. It will regard this as serious. It will wake up and want to look into our records. Buzz? Indeed it will. US seems to be able to hear the distant drums already, but US fury will be a match for it because you cannot beat a Stanford education. By this time their deceased minds are under full steam, and they get down their books and expand their labors, with me for text. They hunt through the biography for US match, working Attila, Torquemada, Gengis Khan, Ivan the Terrible and the rest of that crowd for all they are worth, and evilly exulting they cannot find it. Then they examine the historical earthquakes and cyclones and blizzards and cataclysms and volcanic eruptions: verdict, none of them “in it” with me. At last they do hit it (as they think), and they close their labors with conceding – reluctantly – that US have one match in history, but only one – The Flood. This is intemperate.
But they are always that, when they think of me. They can no more keep quiet when US is mentioned than can a glass of water with a seidlitz powder in its bowels. The bizarre things they can imagine, with me for an inspiration. How they go with this new world order always referring to David Rockefeller “We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order. ” or one of the speeches of our predecessor:
“Mr. President, Mr. Speaker, members of the Congress, distinguished guests, fellow Americans, thank very much for that warm welcome. We gather tonight, witness to events in the Persian Gulf as significant as they are tragic. In the early morning hours of August 2, following negotiations and promises by Iraq’s dictator Saddam Hussein not to use force, a powerful Iraqi Army invaded its trusting and much weaker neighbor, Kuwait. Within three days, 120,000 Iraqi troops with 850 tanks had poured into Kuwait and moved south to threaten Saudi Arabia. It was then that I decided to act to check that aggression. A new partnership of nations has begun, and we stand today at a unique and extraordinary moment. The crisis in the Persian Gulf, as grave as it is, also offers a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times, our fifth objective–a new world order–can emerge”
But US states very firmly the following. There is no new world order. The world order is US. There is nothing new about this. Madmen go on and on with their conspiracy theories about how the end is near. A world order? Why? US thrives on chaos by pitting friend against friends, foes against foes and friends against foes. But people sees what’s happening in Ukraine, and Russia’s aggression towards its neighbors in the manner in which it is financing and arming separatists; to what’s happened in Syria — the devastation that Assad has wrought on his own people; to the failure in Iraq for Sunni and Shia and Kurd to compromise — although US is trying to see if we can put together a government that actually can function; to ongoing terrorist threats; to what’s happening in Israel and Gaza — part of peoples’ concern is just the sense that around the world the old order isn’t holding and US is not quite yet to where we need to be in terms of a new order that’s based on a different set of principles, that’s based on a sense of common humanity, that’s based on economies that work for US.” This order they are so concerned about his only the expression of US authority and greatness. US leads and the rest must follow.
It will still make a stir, it surely will, all of these allegations. Persons will begin to ask again, as now and then in times past, how can US win and keep the respect of our people if US continue to give our life to murder and pillage.<Scornfully> When have they heard US say that we wanted to respect the other nations of the World. Do they confuse us with the common heard? If they would reflect, they would know that it is impossible for a nation such as ours, greater than any empire to value the respect of the rest of the World. Us stands upon an eminence and sees multitude of meek human beings submitting to our oppressions and exactions. If men were really men, would US be possible? And how could I be possible? But US are possible and we are quite safe; and with God’s help US shall continue the business at the old stand. It will be found that the other nations will put up with US, in its docile immemorial way. They may pull a wry face now and then, and make large talk, but they will stay on their knees all the same.
Making large talk is one of their specialties. They will work themselves up, and froth at the mouth and just when you think they were going to throw you a brick instead they heave a poem. Lord what men are they?
It is the rest of US and we are called;
The 99% and
Always: The Kings of Nothing.
A title given because we never owned
Always: neither land nor building.
Wherever we go: Itinerants with a hunger
Avid – occupying all of our thoughts; a territory
Where moving our feet bring us no closer
From removing the shackles weighing on our dignity.
There are no cows lowing in the morning to answer
The cries and even the dead silence of our children.
In the earth, our status, the sun has profoundly written
A drought of hope where laughter is evaporating faster
Than the last rain dripping on our cheeks, carving deeply,
A future read in our wrinkles: furtively and eternally.
They are the few of US and they are called;
The 1% and
Always: The Kings of Everything.
An appropriate title since they have possessed
Always: except the people, most of everything.
Whatever they did: Scholars of an abundance
Greedy – cluttering most of their thoughts; a province
Animated by false gaiety, heavy, because good conscience
Peaceful is illusive and impossible to purchase.
Today, pain and sorrow could not be ignored anymore.
Our notes of despair are rising to create such a dissonance
With the symphony of joyful entertainment and the insouciance
Of all those sparkling toasts made to their own exuberance.
The Kings of Everything had to recognize our existence,
As their counterparts by asking us: “What do you require?”
“We want your help because too great is our necessity!”
“Times are hard for us also,” answered the Kings of Everything.
Being the Kings of Nothing, we offered help. Intimate with charity,
Our knowledge of hardship, we were willing to share.
We asked: “How can we help you?” Not knowing
The price for this question was going to be our dignity.
The Kings of Everything with the hope of winning
Good conscience which had eluded them to this day,
Able to resolve their dilemma jumped at the opportunity
And answered: “We accept your offer of generosity.
Forsake, surrender your title and be satisfied today
To become, forever: Nothing.”
